I'll shout it out like a bird set free
As the pandemic striked, the model for this project Marina Williams saw herself in a position that she could not photograph others. So she started doing self portraits to train and keep her social network updated. That was a change for her, since she had never done that before.
With that in mind I relied on her story and her poses to create this composition, which for me represented freedom, free of ties.
The scene around her was illustrated thinking about the free nature in its daily life.
As a complement, I used the music from Sia - Bird set free as a base for the lettering.
The hand draw lettering was made by André Kamehama who helped me with a base so I could redraw and use it in my composition.
